Abstract

The paper studies the problem of associated petroleum gas utilization in Russia. A review of normative legal regulation dealing with associated petroleum gas handling is presented; ecological and economic evaluation of several projects on gas utilization is made. The possibility of applying carbon financing mechanisms in order to increase commercial attractiveness of petroleum gas use projects is considered. The development of greenhouse gas emissions trading system in developed countries is analyzed.
