Abstract

In recent years, the society in Russia has been characterized by intensified protest activity of the population both in the centre and on the periphery. The paper analyzes the causes of social unrest and protest orientation on the regional level: in the Arkhangelsk Region. The paper considers forms of protest actions and dynamics of protest voting. The author concludes the article by analyzing positive results of the protest as well as its problems and prospects.
