Abstract

The article studies continuity of Russia’s geopolitics in the Arctic and compares the dynamics of economic development of the Arctic countries. Reasons for and specific character of the international rivalry for natural resources in the Arctic are specified; Russia’s possible approaches to the formation of the global management mechanism for the use of the Arctic space are substantiated.
