Abstract

The paper analyzes Russian nonritual lyrical songs of the Letka Komi performed in the Russian language and representing North-Russian variant of the song tradition. Having compared the local repertoire with the so-called “all-Russian” fund, we revealed three thematic layers within the Letka tradition. Special attention is given to the themes of Letka songs similar to the all-Russian repertoire.
