Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the basic concepts of the Text Grammar of the German Language by Harald Weinrich and their succession in cognitive linguistics. The communicative-pragmatic approach has been succeeded by the cognitive-discursive one which emphasizes the anthropological aspects of text grammar by highlighting text analysis from the viewpoint of utterance production.
