Abstract

This article deals with the problem of including dissertations in the general context of the development of philosophical sciences. The emphasis is made on the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the works within all scientific specialties of modern philosophical knowledge. The paper determines the proportions of presented doctoral and candidate dissertations, their ratio in all specialties of philosophy, as well as the ratio of the number of dissertations to the number of dissertation councils. This analysis allows us to establish some trends in the development of individual scientific specialties and in defending dissertations, as well as to reveal the correlation between the defence and the network of dissertation councils. Further, the article analyses the content of dissertations, evaluates the choice of subjects for research and reveals the specificity of certain topics in all scientific specialties of philosophical knowledge.
