Abstract

Development of the Arctic generates lively interest both in Russia and the rest of the world and is of key importance in solving a number of global problems facing the humanity. At the same time, it requires that the world’s leading countries join their efforts. This article dwells on the issues that were discussed at the thematic sections of the 4th International Arctic Forum, which was held in March 2017 in Arkhangelsk, and its significance for solving urgent problems of the Arctic, Russia and the Arkhangelsk Region.
