Abstract

The article deals with the dialectic of the universal, the particular and the singular as one of the essential mechanisms of normal and pathological processes in the human body. This research problem is relevant due to the fact that normal and pathological processes in the human body in a certain way affect its vital activity and vitality. The dialectic of the interconnection between the universal, the particular and the singular in health and disease lies in the biological and social nature of humans. This nature reveals itself in the unity and conflict of the universal development of the living matter and peculiarities of a particular person and is reflected in the singular. Much consideration is given to the qualitative differences in the manifestations of the universal, the particular and the singular at the biological and social levels, shaping an integral human being in health and disease. The dialectic of the universal and the particular in health and disease at the natural level is presented in the form of a correlation between the structural elements within a particular organic system subject to the universal law of nature. Singularity appears here as an initial step in the universal biological mechanism. The particular is the essence of the expression of normal and pathological processes in the human body. Being a more highly organized matter compared to the biological, the social includes a different qualitative content of the dialectic of the universal, the particular and the singular in health and disease. The general social principle in health and disease is determined by the historical and cultural background as well as level of development of the society and is subject to the laws of cultural and social dynamics. It is embodied in the singular, i.e. subject. The making up of a patient’s personality embodies the particular on the social level of health and disease as a qualitative result of the synthesis of the universal and the singular. Biological and social manifestations of the universal, the particular and the singular in human health and disease are different in nature but at the same time united and exert influence on each other.
