Abstract

Legal aspect of social anomie is an important issue in modern society which requires study and development of regulatory mechanisms. The purpose of this research is to study the concept of social norms and legal awareness as components of the legal aspect of anomie, as applied to Russian reality, and to identify possible ways of correction. The paper provides a classification of social norms as tools for regulating social interaction of individuals and groups. Further, it reveals the relationship between legal awareness and various forms of social consciousness and lists the constituents of the structure of legal awareness. Social anomie can be divided into subjective and objective components; thus, legal awareness can be considered as a subjective component of the legal aspect of anomie. The author points out a number of issues in the sphere of legal regulation of modern society that contribute to the deformation of legal awareness of its citizens and trigger manifestations of the legal aspect of anomie. A classification of deformations of legal awareness, being signs of legal resocialization of an individual and adaptation to changing social conditions, is presented. The results of the study can be used in the social life of the population within the legal framework of the state. The author points out the dual nature of social anomie as being an obviously negative phenomenon with some positive trends. A conclusion is made that anomie, within certain limits, is indispensable to society, but this process has to be controlled.
