Abstract

Consciousness is a structurally organized integral system consisting of various elements naturally related to each other. The sourse of existential characteristics of consciousness is the subject and social action. Inner reflective resources of consciousness are actualized by means of emotions, memory, thought, attention, will, imagination, etc. The study focuses on revealing specific features of image creation and on reflecting its functionality in the general structure of consciousness. The author has worked out statements and principles of investigating image multi-functionality in the consciousness structure from the interdisciplinary point of view. The applied component involves the person’s cognitive focus on realizing behaviour and activity in the society. The author uses both the systems and analytical approaches to study the given issue and makes the following conclusion. The image and dynamics of its creation are directly correlated with consciousness that shapes the person’s activity. This study is a significant contribution to the logic and methodology of social philosophy, social pedagogy and psychology. Its results can be introduced into the educational process.
