Abstract

The full-scale offensive of “mass culture” is transforming social reality. Journalism is also becoming “mass”: journalist’s identity, his ability of critical perception of reality are being leveled. The system of journalism training – university education – has also been affected by this process. A deep axiological analysis of the entire situation needs to be made, while the educational process has to include value dominants of social development.
